Raise Shelter, Raise Hope
A displaced person is virtually invisible, their story rarely told, and their
rights seldom honored. 42.9 million people across the world are at the risk
of becoming invisible, living in substandard temporary housing solutions,
forced out of their homes due to wars and natural disasters. Many millions
more are at their permanent home sites but inadequately housed. Some
are without any form of roof over their heads while others are living under
tarps, in consumable tents suitable only for short-term use. These
circumstances leave people vulnerable to poverty, disease,
under-education and exploitation.
To provide humanitarian support to people in critical need of adequate
shelter through advocacy, support and innovation.
